Welcoming the World in 2008 is a project to create photography and film based work to be used in the ceremonies to welcome the 2012 Olympic Games to London from Beijing. A group of Year 8 students were selected to create a film about their world and their community, to show the world what they thought about there area in London. The students worked with a professional film crew to create a film about their friends and their parks and open spaces, learning about the technical side of documentary making as well as acting in their film.
