The Heart
Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom. A dark, gloomy world, so different from my own. Deep reds, blues and purples are the only colours as far as the eyes can see. Thump, thump, thump, every step has its own echo.
Trying to avoid the warm, gushing liquid that comes with every contraction. I sink into the damp, soft flesh. The pounding comes faster and faster, i try to grip and stay in place, but the rushing, pouring, swooshing liquid pulls me away.
Down, down, down. I'm falling deeper and deeper. Plunged into darkness, the bubbling is my only company.
Floating through a river of blood, the taste of salt on my lips, I wonder...
...Will i ever get out?
