JAM Fest 2009
After the success of last year’s inaugural event, the organisers of JAM Fest 2009 are busy preparing to make this year’s event even bigger and better.
JAM Fest 2009 will be held at Kidwells Park, Maidenhead on Friday 31st July from 2pm to 8pm and will be an opportunity for young people to find out about services available to them in the Maidenhead area, while listening to some of the best new music by fresh, local, young bands.
Connexions Berkshire, Grow Our Own, Re:Charge and Berkshire Association of Clubs for Young People (BACYP) have been working together to co-ordinate the event, which will not only showcase local talent, but will also provide young people with information and advice on education, training, employment, volunteering and wellbeing issues.
Any young people wishing to help organise or promote JAM Fest 2009 or any bands, local to the Maidenhead area, wishing to play at the event should contact Shaun Polley, Connexions Berkshire Youth Participation Worker, on 07747 476 835 or shaunpolley@connexions-berkshire.org.uk
Any local organisations or charities wishing to promote their work and support local young people by exhibiting at JAM Fest 2009 should contact Kath Dunn, Connexions Manager, on 07747 476753 or kathdunn@connexions-berkshire.org.uk
