Using Wildern's VLE, I uploaded an mp3 track of Take That's Shine for students to learn and audition with. Students auditioned using the first verse. With Year 11 enjoying post exam holidays and Year 10 on work experience during the Shine week, the focus was on the lower school to fill the main roles.

The story line of 'Shine' is about 2 girls with a talent for singing but with very different lives. One has a privileged life but lacks confidence while the other has a deprived life but great confidence. The musical follows their parallel journeys to shine.
